Enable self-serve natural language business intelligence and proactive alerting across your organization in three simple steps.
Enter your Metabase server endpoint (Cloud or Self-Hosted) and generate an API key with read-only permissions for the databases and collections you wish to expose.
RhinoAgents autonomously analyzes your tables, columns, foreign key relations, and existing saved questions to build an internal semantic catalog for accurate SQL query generation.
Invite your AI agent to Slack or Microsoft Teams. Team members can ask questions like "What was our net retention last quarter?" and receive formatted charts and SQL breakdowns instantly.
Translates complex business logic into dialect-optimized SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) with zero syntax errors.
Continuously evaluates key metrics against historical standard deviations and flags irregular dips in conversion or sudden spikes in error counts.
Prepares and broadcasts scheduled morning executive briefs summarizing dashboard performance, trends, and recommended actions.
Honors Metabase collection level permissions and database sandboxing, preventing unauthorized departments from accessing sensitive row data.
Audits execution duration across Metabase cards, pinpointing unindexed tables and suggesting query caching intervals to speed up load times.
Saves AI-crafted questions directly to team collections with pre-configured color schemes, axes, and interactive dashboard filters.
Execute autonomous card queries, dashboard refreshes, and dataset explorations via the Metabase REST API.
Runs a saved Metabase question or SQL card with dynamic parameter substitution and returns dataset results.
Executes dynamic SQL generated by the AI agent against connected databases with sandboxed safety constraints.
Retrieves complete dashboard structure, cards, tabs, and filter parameters for automated reporting digests.
AI generates SQL queries from plain English prompts and saves them as reusable Metabase questions into collections.
Extracts column names, data types, primary/foreign keys, and descriptions to continuously update the AI semantic model.
Dispatches scheduled or event-driven Metabase pulses and dashboard alerts to configured Slack channels or emails.
Follow this 5-step tutorial to configure API credentials, set appropriate permissions, and connect your Metabase instance with RhinoAgents.
Log in to your Metabase deployment with an account that has Admin privileges. Click the gear icon in the top right header and select Admin settings.
In Metabase Enterprise or Cloud, navigate to Settings > Authentication > API Keys and click Create API Key. If you are running Metabase Open Source, create a dedicated service user account and generate an API session token via /api/session.
In the Permissions tab, assign the API key or service account to a restricted user group with read-only access to only the databases, schemas, and question collections that AI agents should analyze.
Verify that your credentials and instance URL are reachable by running a test command in your terminal:
Go to your RhinoAgents Console, open Integrations > Metabase, input your Base URL and API Key, and run a test ping to initialize schema indexing.
